Microchip’s PolarFire SoC FPGA Achieves AEC-Q100 Automotive Qualification

Microchip’s PolarFire® SoC FPGA has received AEC-Q100 certification, confirming its reliability under harsh automotive conditions, including operation from -40°C to 125°C. Built on a 64-bit quad-core RISC-V® architecture, it supports Linux® and RTOS, offering up to 500K logic elements with low power consumption and robust performance.

Designed for mission-critical environments like automotive, aerospace, and defense, the SoC integrates embedded security features and SEU immunity for increased reliability. Devices with matching densities and packages offer thermal-grade compatibility and enhanced scalability.

Bruce Weyer, VP of Microchip’s FPGA business unit, said: “This certification underscores our commitment to delivering reliable, power-efficient solutions for next-gen automotive systems powered by RISC-V.”
